I have many part numbers on my website with hyphens.

    Ex. 12-345-67890

The search works fine as long as the user enters the exact text (with hyphens).
However, many users will not include the hyphens, thus showing no results.

Is there a way to disregard the hyphens?

    Thanks
    Dave

Under "Configure"->"Indexing options", you can disable "Hyphens" from joining words. You will have to re-index for it to take effect.

By doing this, the number would be indexed as 3 separate numbers (12, 345, 67890) so users can find it searching for any combination of those numbers.

But this also means that it would match different order of those numbers, e.g.
    345 12 67890

However if you need to search for that exact order of numbers again, you can enclose the search with quotation characters: e.g.
    "12 345 67890"
