Text flow directions

How should I configure the indexer, search template and result page, if the text flow is other than regular left to right, and there is no ready made search template for that language (I could still use English template)? Currently my concern is Farsi (UTF-8 ), flowing from right to left. Later there may be also other exotic languages.

Just for testing I tried Arabic template (dir:rtl), were search form was correctly rtl, but all results were still ltr. What could be the consistent way of doing the configuration?

We're not experts in this area, but we've seen a few customers use Zoom for Arabic and have successfully customized their search results layout to be right-to-left by only modifying the CSS.

Take a look at our CSS support page and try adding the "direction: rtl;" CSS property to the relevant classes.
