Cannot index https site

New site on new server will not index, says no files to index. Have tried adding sitemap, using both htpp and https, adding robots txt, checked htaccess. Nada. Have only indexed one other site on new server, no problem.
Exact error is
No files found to spider from http:// mysite.com.au/sitemap.html (and all the variations including std which is https://mysite.com.au/

... a bit later.
Tried turning off https and it will index a few files. Possibly some sort of protection in the server. I also tried an old page indexing program (xenu, I think) and it worked without a hitch.

Would really have to see the URL and your configuration to say what the problem is.

For example, check your base URL, and if your start spider http:// URL is redirecting to a https:// URL. In which case you need to make sure your base URL allows for this.

Enable "All" log messages on the "Log" tab to see if there are any warnings or skipped messages which indicate what it is doing.

I have also confirmed that it indexes fine here.

You might want to double check what version and build you are using ("Help"->"About") and let us know.

7.0 is the version. As I say, works perfectly with another site on same server, over 40k pages indexed.

I emailed config and logs earlier today.

I'll reindex shortly and see if there are any errors which show up on that one, but I'm sure I've done that since the move in Jan or Feb, ususally reindex every few weeks.
