Microsoft Word field codes in the summary text

    Hi,

We have a number of Microsoft Word documents (*.docx) which include a Table of Contents (ToC). When these are being scanned by the ZoomIndexer, the field codes that are used to create the ToC are being captured and stored in the search database and are displayed in the summary text of the search results. For example:

    TOC \o "1-3" \h \z \u 1 Overview PAGEREF _Toc476550555 \h 7 2 Directory Variables PAGEREF _Toc476550556 \h 8 2.1 Postcode Identification Information PAGEREF _Toc476550557 \h 8 2.1.1 Postcode Format 1 (Standard – 8 bytes) PAGEREF _Toc476550558 \h

    Can this be fixed?

    Many thanks and kind regards,

    Russ

        Hi Russ,

We were able to reproduce this and have confirmed that it is a bug in the current release.

We have added it to our list of things to do, but have higher priorities at this immediate moment. It will be fixed in a future release at a schedule as yet undetermined.

          Hi Ray,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and confirming it is a bug.

I understand that the fix is currently low priority, and will await the update.

          Thanks again,

          Russ
