  • PDF Not positioned in Google Chrome

I wish to set up a search facility for a CD I am distributing. However, when I search PDF's on the CD and click on one of the finds, the PDF is not positioned at the find in Google Chrome as it is in Internet Explorer.

    Does someone have any advice?

Not sure what you mean by "not positioned at the find in Google Chrome as it is in Internet Explorer". Perhaps some screenshot will better illustrate what you mean.

If you are referring to how the PDF file is opened (whether it shows up within the browser or not), this depends entirely on the settings of the computer that is browsing the CD. It cannot be controlled by anything else. And it is definitely not related to Zoom.

So for some computers, Acrobat Reader can be setup so that it always open PDF files in a separate Acrobat Reader window. On some computers, an internal PDF plugin for IE will display the PDF within IE. And there's also something for Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142056?hl=en)

Here's a comprehensive article on how to setup PDF browsing within the browser of your choice:
