  • absolute and relative links and url rewrites

Trying to figure out why some pages are not being indexed.

The main page for a subdomain is at http://deptone.domain.com . This is rewritten (not redirected) to http://www.domain.com/deptone .

On the www.domain.com/deptone/index.html , there are absolute links in an HREF to http://deptone.domain.com/pageone.html . That page is not being indexed.

The spider urls value is set to http://deptone.domain.com, base url = http://deptone.domain.com, index page and follow internal links is selected.

Do I have this configured properly for rewritten URLs, and are absolute links found in a page code followed with these settings?

    THanks...Rick..

Try setting your base URL to accept both domains by use of a semi-colon. So change your base URL to as follows:

    http://deptone.domain.com;http://www.domain.com/deptone

You can change the base URL for the first start point by clicking on the "More" button next to the start URL and selecting "Edit".

Let us know if you still have trouble.
