  • recommended phrase

is it possible have the recommended phrase work like a single word..that is to trigger even if its only part of the search rather than the whole search?

it seems to work like this:
random random "phrase" = not triggered
    "phrase" = triggered

can it have wild card like "phrase"*

If you want a recommended link which triggers for your example, then you simply set up one with a single keyword.

Your example is hard to follow, but continuing on in that vein, a recommended link for the word

    phrase

    Will trigger for searches:

    phrase
    blah blah phrase
    some other phrase

It will however, NOT triggger for a search with double quotes around it like
    "this is my phrase"

This is by design and helps in most cases.

ok let me try again. I need to trigger when two words are used together, lets say, keyword1 keyword2
so this works fine if the actual search is keyword1 keyword2
but if the search is random_word1 keyword1 keyword2
then it does not trigger, only if the search is for the recommend phrase with no other words.

Your description actually matches the default behaviour. That is how it already works. Perhaps you can give us a link to the page and some actual example queries to better demonstrate what you mean.

Create a recommended link for the phrase:

        keyword1 keyword2

And it will match searches for those two words exclusively, with or without double quotes. It will not match a search for:
        randomword keyword1 keyword2

yes this is my point, it will not trigger for randomword keyword1 keyword2 ,
but i would like it to do just that. Is there a work around? tx.
