Sorting by custom meta field

Hi,

I've been reading through the forums, and see that currently you can sort by relevance or by date. I also see that sorting by custom meta fields may be an option for V7 or a later release. That is something I am definitely interested in

For now, though, is there any type of workaround or fairly simple custom modification that could be implemented to sort by price, for example? I didn't see anything about that... maybe I missed it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well, as you know, we're hoping to add this for the next release. Don't really have an interim solution, short of you implementing it yourself in the PHP code. Sorry.
