    What is alert "HelloSIG"

    Hello, on my search engine stats I keep seeing

    <Script>alert "HelloSIG" ;< Script>

    and wondered if anyone could tell me what this is?

    It is hackers (or someone) probing your web site for trivial cross site scripting vulnerabilities (XSS).

    Nothing to fear from the above, as we closed off all these trivial exploits many years ago.

      Also worth noting that it does not necessarily mean you are being targeted. There are many people online running scripts which automatically make such attempts on randomly selected sites. The more popular your site is, and the greater your internet presence, the more likely you will see such attempts in your site's HTTP request logs.

        Thanks, I have Rackspace hosting because I was hacked years ago. That for relieving my worried.
