Possible to include line breaks in context results?

Is this possible? My site is very data driven and has a lot of information presented like:

Application: asasd
Version: asdasd
Change Type: adsasd
request Number: asdasd
Tech Assigned: asdasd
Requestor: asdads
etc
etc

When the context in the search result is displayed its all on one line and can be hard to read. It would be nice to have an option to display the BR's or even a bullet symbol or something in the context results.

This is not possible. But have a look at the custom meta fields feature it might suit what you are doing and gives some layout control.

How about in the recommended links description? I'm using custom meta fields to format the regular results, but now the recommended links look lousy in comparison.

Unfortunately no, you can't do this with recommended links. The pages are never indexed, they are just links that you have specified, so there is no easy way to support Custom Meta fields for them.
