What does it search for?

When i search for tutorials it is bringing in all pages because they all include the word tutorial(a link in the header). Is there any way to make it search for words in the meta description?

You should first take a look at this FAQ:
Q. How do I prevent parts of my webpage from being indexed (eg. exclude navigation menus, or page footers)?

It would help you more if you excluded those common elements on your webpages from being indexed.

However, if you really want to disable the page content from being indexed, you can do so from your settings in the Indexer, click "Configure"->"Indexing options" and uncheck the box for "Page content".
