what file should i edit/upload so I can show the search box and the result of the search in just one page? I don't know where to start first before doing the indexing process.

See chapter 5 of the Users Guide.
You don't need to edit anything to begin with. Just index, upload the files, and open the URL to the search page. You can then customize it further and add search boxes to other pages of your site if you want.
