My search.cgi page display "zoom search engine" at the bottom (footer)
of the page. I want to display my website name instead. How can I do this please?
You can disable the Zoom information link in the Indexer configuration (under "Search Page").
We do not recommend editing the "settings" file manually. There is a reason it says "WARNING: DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE" at the top. Changing this file risks breaking searching functionality as much of the data corresponds to changes in the other ZDAT files.
But if you would like to change the name that is displayed.
Back up the search which is in the web folder with the other zoom search files on the web server . Open the search With a txt viewer such as Textpad5
Don't follow the instructions above, you are just asking for problems doing this.
And then later on when we release a patch, you will just have your changes overwritten in any case.
If you want to change the text in the footer, then just edit the template file (search_template.html) and add your own footer. This is the purpose of the template file, to allow easy customisation of the result page.
