asp.net control and special characters

Hello,

There are currently known issues with displaying non-English characters in the search results using the ASP.NET native control.

is there a fix, workaround or update for this problem?

Which issue are you having in particular? If you look at the "What's New" page, you will find there has been a few fixes for the ASP.NET along the way (e.g. French stemming, highlighting of accented characters). But not all the issues are resolved necessarily so it depends what problem you are having. Make sure you are using the latest build available (download link on the page above).

all the non-english chars are not displayed propperly at the result-page (ä ö ü ß)

i have installed the newest asp.net-version (20.04.2009) and also the newest zoom search engine (6.0 Build 1013)

is there a fix or a workaround for this?

Make sure you have the correct charset/encoding selected on the "Languages" panel of the Indexer. Try Unicode (UTF- if you still have trouble.
