Where to install ASP.NET control?

Hello,

I purchased Enterprise version of Zoom Search Engine and I want to use it to search two different sites using AS.NET option. I read instructions on how to install ASP.NET control, but my issue is that I have two websites hosted on the same physical server and I am not sure where to install the control.

Actual folder on hard disk of the public site is D:\Inetpub\PUBLICWEB which represents http://www.publicweb.edu in the browser.

Actual folder on hard disk of the internal site is D:\Inetpub\INTRANET which represents http://intranet in the browser.

If PUBLICWEB were the only website on the server I would install ASP.NET control into D:\Inetpub\PUBLICWEB\zoomaspx folder.

In what folder do I need to install ASP.NET control on my web server in order for both sites to use it? Is it possible?

Web server: Windows 2003, SP2, IIS6, ASP.NET 2.0.

You should install the ASP.NET control in one of the above two folders. Let's say you installed it in "D:\Inetpub\PUBLICWEB\".

You can then copy "search.aspx" and the "bin" folder (containing the DLL) from "D:\Inetpub\PUBLICWEB\" to "D:\Inetpub\INTRANET\". This will now allow you to use the ASP.NET control from the other website too.
