Already ticked "Do not upload search template (requires existing file on server), however, the search.asp still ftped. How could it not be ftped? Thx.

The search template file that option refers to is "search_template.html".
The "search.asp" file is the search script.
Refer to chapter 7.4 "Editing the search script" in the Users Guide for information on what to do if you are using a customized version of the script. Also see chapter 2.2.16 "Custom Script Source Path". You should also be aware of the disadvantages of modifying the script. 99% of the time you do not need to modify the script, and you void support. So I would recommend making sure that this is necessary.
