search.html - change to search.htm

Using the javascript method as far as I can tell it is OK to change the file search.html to search.htm

Is there any way I can make the application generate the file with the .htm extension by default please?

You can't ask the Indexer to generate the file with a different name. But you can just use your "search.htm" copy and ignore the "search.html" that gets generated in the same folder.
