  • Can I edit zoom_index.js

After running the indexer, zoom_index.js contains the index words such as those below:

    "gathers,0,15",
    "supporting,0,15",
    "evidence,0,15",

Will it break the searching if I were to delete any one line please?

I presume you are talking about the Javascript version.

We would not recommend modifying any of the index files data by hand. Any corruption in the data may lead to unexpected behaviour, and we would not be able to determine the possible causes.

If you wish to remove some words from the index, you should enter them in the "Word skip list", which can be found in the Configuration window, under the "Skip Options" tab.

Yes it was the javascript method to which I referred.

I realise that the Skip list is the best way. It was after creating the file that I found words that should have been in that list and it is not a problem to add them. I just wondered if it was possible to shortcut and you have answered clearly.

      Thanks Ray.
