Javascript and Highlighting with IE 6.0

I have set-up my search engine to display highlighting and jump to the keyword when clicking on a result from a search. In Firefox, the browser jumps to the word and highlights properly. In Internet Explorer, the browser jumps to the word but does not highlight it properly. Can you explain what the problem may be?

This can depend on a few things:

    - What version of Internet Explorer are you using?
    - Do you have any other Javascripts running on your web page?

The latter can cause varying behaviours, depending on the other Javascript code used. See the bottom of this page (titled "Known Issues and Troubleshooting") for more information:

If you give us a URL to the webpages in question, we may be able to spot any obvious problems.

      It's probably the latter

It's probably the latter problem. I have navigation buttons in my pages that depend on javascript for swapping images...
