  • Disabling FTP upload

We have the Zoom Indexer set to run automatically on the web server directly and save the datafiles to the correct final location. As a result I want to turn off the FTP upload promt after the search runs and have the program shutdown when finished. Otherwise the program seems to need to be dismissed daily to allow the next days automated run to take place. However I can't find any Configuration options to do this.

    Thanks

First of all, make sure you have disabled the option to "Automatically upload files at the end of indexing" in the Configuration window (under the "FTP" tab). Remember to save your configuration changes.

Second, are you using Zoom to schedule the automated indexing? Or are you using a third party scheduling application or service?

When Zoom is scheduled correctly (either using Zoom's built-in scheduler or following the command-line options described in our Users Guide), it will not require user intervention and will shutdown itself when it has finished indexing.
