Can someone please tell me what I did wrong with my search page

    It is here http://www.oxfordshire-mind.org.uk/search.htm

The search appears OK when you call the page, but when you search a string (try using the word health) the results come below the previous page.

    It's probably something really obvious!
    Thanks
    Neil

You must have edited the search template file and removed the
    tag.

To start with I would suggest going back to the default template file.

OK, thanks, so now I have put that in, and I now get two search boxes after the search results return!!

Also, if there is more than one results page, the 2nd, 3rd, page etc, don't look like the 1st, they miss graphics etc, as if they're losing the template

      Thanks

You've created your own search form, but you didn't disable the one that is being automatically generated by the search script.

        This is explained here: http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/support...tml#searchform

You can either remove your search form (if you're happy to use the one created by the script), or disable the generated search form (see the above FAQ to find out how). Note that the form that is automatically generated (the second one), will remember the search query after you enter it in.

Also, if there is more than one results page, the 2nd, 3rd, page etc, don't look like the 1st, they miss graphics etc, as if they're losing the template
It looks like you may have specified an incorrect "Link back URL" (on the Advanced tab of the Configuration window). This should not be necessary for what you are trying to do (as far as we can tell). If you have something specified here, set it back to blank and see if that helps.

          Thanks for the quick reply

          1) The FAQ was just the ticket, I've disabled the generated one and it's fine

          2) I have a blank 'Link Back URL' in my config!

I get the following type of link:
          First result page:
          http://www.oxfordshire-mind.org.uk/s...=0&zoom_sort=0
          subsequent get this:
          http://www.oxfordshire-mind.org.uk/~...=0&zoom_sort=0

Since you do not have a link back URL specified, and assuming that you have not modified "search.php" before, then this would appear to be an issue with your web server's PHP configuration.

For some reason, your server is returning the full path and filename of the script for the PHP_SELF variable, instead of the path relative to the document root. Perhaps you are using an old version of PHP?

A quick fix to this would be to use the "Link back URL" to override this. If you set this to "http://www.oxfordshire-mind.org.uk/search.php", then it should work ok.
