  • Index a bilingual site

    Hi Everyone

Just purchased the search engine, if this question is too basic, please forgive me.

I have a bilingual site, English and French. I like set up two search engine for each section. Here is my site structure.

www.mydomain.com/splash.html, from the splash page, it goes to English or French.
    www.mydomain.com/e/*.*
    www.mydomain.com/f/*.*

When I start index from www.mydomain.com/splash.html, both English and French parts are indexed. When I start index from www.mydomain.com/e/, nothing be indexed.

Can you tell me how to index two parts separately?

P.S. my site is not ready for public yet.

    Thank you

Just a quick note. If you have a skip list entry that is:

      www.domain.com/f

You will be skipping any other folders or filenames which begin with f, like the following:

      www.domain.com/flyingcars.html
      www.domain.com/files/index.html
      ... etc.

If you wish to skip a folder named "f" specifically, at the lowest level of the website, make sure to use a trailing slash like so:

      www.domain.com/f/

If you wish to skip all folders named "f", located anywhere on the website, you can use a skip list entry of:

      /f/

Hope that helps people out there.
