LINK Node incorrect?

Hi

In the Asian Char Set, My Link Node in the xml response is sometimes not coming as a link, but rather as other text from the page. Any ideas how i can fix this problem, or what would cause this to happen so i can fix it?

Which particular character set did you select in Zoom?
Would it be possible for you to zip up & E-mail us your set of index files and your Zoom configuration file.

It seems to be a bug in the V5 CGI.
The bug is provoked by having long meta descriptions on pages in conjunction with a large limit set for the meta description length.

There is also a similar bug in the V6 CGI. So upgrading will not fix this problem.

So pages like this page,
http://www.hoteltravel.com/jp/thailand/bangkok/bangkok_city_inn.htm
with a very long 418 character (in UTF) meta descriptions length result in corruption of the URL when used with your settings file. (In V6 they result in corruption of the title text instead).

We don’t have an immediate correction. But we are planning on a new V6 release Mid Jan 09 that will correct the problem.

As a temporary solution you can either,
1) Decrease the size of the meta description on these pages
2) Decrease the description length limit you have sent on the limits tab of the Zoom configuration window. At the moment you have 300 characters. Reduce this to 150.

This bug will be fixed for the upcoming V6.0 build 1005 release scheduled to be made available in the next few days.
