highlight in search result with french accent

    Hello,
I noticed that the highlight in search result page did not work when accent is used in search's keyword.

    As en example:

    searched word = responsabilité
in result page the searched word is not highlited

    searched word = responsabilit*
same result, but this time word is highlited

Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks for your help and best regards.

If you have enabled accent/diacritic insensitivity on the Language tab of your configuration, my understanding is that Zoom will basically ignore accents. If you do a search for responsabilite (no accent on the e) and it comes up with the highlighting, that supports this as an explanation for what you are seeing.

You can uncheck the enable accent/diacritic insensitivity box but then if someone searches for responsibilite (no accent) they won't find responsabilité. If you leave it as is, they'll find the search term whether or not they search with the accent, the only thing missing is the highlighting.

    Hope this helps.

Please see the previous comments in this thread.

As mentioned, the lack of highlighting does not indicate any impairment in the accuracy of the search results. The word is just not highlighted visually and it is purely an aesthetic difference. V6 will feature improvements in this area.
