  • Removing authentication starting point

So that Zoom can index my entire site, I'm using one of the options you recommend, namely, setting one on the starting points as:
    http://www.mysite.com/login.php?username=ringo&password=star

This works, except for one thing. If I then search for the term: login, Zoom will list the entire URL.
    http://www.mysite.com/login.php?username=ringo&password=star

How can I eliminate this page from the index, but still use it as the starting point?

When you define a start point, there are several options what what type of start point it is (click on the "more" button).

One of the options is, Follow links only – which will only follow the links found on that page but will not index the contents of the page itself.

I think this should solve the problem.

That works unless you have the image plugin turned on and there are images on that page. Even with a STOP/RESTART, the images get indexed and make the login page visible.

Try adding the URLs of these specific images to the Zoom page skip list.

Or you could enclose the content of that login page in ZOOMSTOPFOLLOW and ZOOMRESTARTFOLLOW tags.
