    Turning off URL and http:// in search results

    how do I turn off the "url" and http:// prefixes in the search results?

    You can edit (or remove) the "URL:" text in the language file.
    STR_RESULT_URL=URL:

    You might be able to remove the http:// prefix using the "rewite links" feature, but this might effect the correct functioning of the links in some browsers.

        We are in Sydney, so with the time zone difference anything posted late afternoon or evening in the USA gets noticed fairly quickly.

          Or if you want to remove the entire "URL: http://www.example.com/blah.html" part in the search result, simply uncheck the "URL" option on the "Results Layout" tab of the Configuration window.
