Skipping external site-base URL

    Skipping external site-base URL

    I keep getting a message/warning that says "Skipping http://www.bio-chem.com/ContainerRequest/tabid/62/Default.aspx (External site - does not match base URL" when I try to index my site.

    The problem is, my base URL for this site is set to "http://www.bio-chem.com/" in my configuration. So why does Zoom keep saying this particular page does not match my base URL???

      We'll need to see your full configuration to really comment. If this is part of an additional start point, the base URL could be different for that point than your original start point (click "More"->"Edit" to check).

      Note also, that if your base URL is actually "http://www.bio-chem.com/somethingelsehere/" then it wouldn't match either.

          Ahh, that's it. I do have additional start points, so the warning is being shown because that particular page's url doesn't match the second url base I have set up.

              I'm having this same problem. But, the pages are not actually showing up when I search. I've tried adding start points and created a list of links.

              In specific my search log says that

              07/02/08 16:05:05 - Skipping http://www.luciferlighting.com/housing/index.aspx?name=DHC-M (External site - does not match base URL)

              and continues in this strain for every link on our page:
              http://www.luciferlighting.com/housings/?SeriesID=Housing

              the search will recognize http://www.luciferlighting.com/housings/?SeriesID=Housing but it won't find anything under it without throwing the skipping error.

              My base URL is set as : http://www.luciferlighting.com/index.aspx

                  The base URL should be,
                  http://www.luciferlighting.com/
                  and not.
                  http://www.luciferlighting.com/index.aspx
