    Prevent indexing of Virtual directory

I have a bunch of virtual directories labeled similiar to this:
    http://webserver/sales_mkt/minfo/Forms/Expense/

I chose "Do not index files without an extension" but this still appears in the index even after a noncached indexing.

I do want the files inside the virtual directory to be indexed, but not the parent folder itself.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

I can think of 2 solutions

    1) Enter these folders as new start points. But select the Follow links only option for these start points. This will result in the spider only following the links found on that page but it will not index the contents of the page itself. But this can be slightly complex to set up as you need to ensure that these start points do not get indexed from another start points above it in the list of start points.

    2) Install a directory list scipt (search Google for this) and then use ZOOMSTOP tags.

Did you mis-read the option you selected?

The only option we have for this is labelled "Scan files with no extensions", which is on the "Scan Options" tab of the Configuration window.

Did you check this option expecting it to NOT scan the files?
