Polish characters indexing issue in Word documents

Words with polish characters in Word documents are not found when searching site. I use MS Word 2000 polish version, ASP search and Zoom 5 build 1008.

On support page under known issues I have found following statement:

"There are issues with indexing some international characters from DOC files. This is usually when the Language setting is not specified within the DOC file itself using MS Word. Currently we are only aware of the Polish language having such issues."

Is this problem still being investigated or is there any workaround to solve this ?

There is no known workaround at the moment. However, we are taking another look at the issue and we will post updates here should we make any progress. If you have any example Polish documents which exhibit a problem, you could e-mail them to us (with an explanation of the problem, eg. words that fail etc.), as this would give us more data to test with.
