using filename as title in results for pdf

Is there a setting or way to use a pdf file's name as the title in the search results instead of the internal PDF title? Our PDF files are created in a different department (advertising) and I'd rather use a filename than rely on them to remember to set the title inside every PDF they create.

Right now, they are not setting these internal titles and our results look something like this (most show a name of "untitled"):

Yes, there is an option to address this specifically. Click "Configure"->"Scan options" and double click on the ".pdf" extension.

Here you'll find an option entitled "Retrieve internal meta information" which is most likely checked at this point. Uncheck this option, click OK and save your configuration and re-index. By turning this off, Zoom will not use the internal meta data stored in your PDF files (which as you've told us, has not been set meaningfully), and it will use the filenames as the titles instead.
