I don't know if this is possible, wasn't exactly sure how to do this.

Is there a way to make PDF files (and ONLY PDF files) open up in a new window in the search results? Like if I search for something on my site and one of the results is a PDF document, instead of opening in the current window (like all the HTML do) I want those PDF files to open in a new window.

I'm currently using zoomsearch 5.0 Professional Javascript Platform, if it makes a difference.

It's not possible without customizing the search script code.

You can only specify if all search results should be opened in a new window, frame, or same window.

However, note that if you were actually wishing to open the other file types in a new window of their native application (eg. PDF opens in Acrobat Reader, rather than an IE window with the Acrobat plugin), then you should refer to my answer in this previous thread here:
