    Moving Zoom to another computer

    Hi,

We purchased a new computer with Vista and I moved Zoom 5 from the XP machine by dragging it from one computer to the other. That method didn't work so I reinstalled it from scratch and moved the config files over. Zoom now works on the new computer.

Zoom did not ask for the license key. Is it contained in the config files or do I need to re-enter it for this installation?

Note: The old computer is going to the recycler after the hard drive is removed and we are only indexing one site, so we're not violating the terms of the license.

    Thanks,

I entered the license key, Zoom accepted it and seems to be working fine.

Hope this was the correct way to do it.

We recommend uninstalling Zoom from the old computer first, and then installing it from the proper installation package (downloaded from our website), on the new computer. And yes, you will have to enter in your license key after installing Zoom on the new computer.
