Boosting meta description in JavaScript

Will a +5 Boost selected for the Description option (Word Weighting panel, Weightings tab) still apply if we have chosen to not display that meta description in the results page? [ZOOM V5, offline JavaScript]

Yes, so long as you have "meta description" enabled for indexing on the "Indexing Options" tab of the Configuration window.
