    Limiting results for each site

    Hiya,

When searching on an index containing multiple sites, could you tell me if it is possible to limit the results returned for individual sites at all? I.e. say a user searches on a term which happens to be present on every page on a site (e.g. on the navigation menu or something) could the results just show, say, the first two most relevant pages for that site rather than all? That way, the results won't be dominated by that one site's results.

    Thanks,

    Paul

This is something we have considered, and is on our list of things to address in a future version.

At the moment, the only way to limit results returned for individual sites would be to use the Categories feature. If you create categories for each domain/site in your index, the user will be able to select a specific site to restrict his/her searches to accordingly.

Do you have an estimation when this feature will appear in a future version?

At best, it would be a candidate for the next major release, for which the feature list has yet to be finalised. So there is no accurate estimation for this, but it would be more than 6 months away at least.
