  • Title/author searches

    1. I notice that Zoom creates and stores a file of page titles. Could there be a search option to restrict searching to title text?

    2. Likewise, I notice that Zoom can extra meta author information. Could this not be stored in a seperate "author name" file, with a search option to restrict searches to author names.

    3. The most flexible option is to let Zoom extract any <meta name="whatever"> data, and store it in the equivalent "whatever file", and provide the option to restict searches to the "whatever data"?

Zoom does not currently provide a way to restrict searches within page titles, meta author, or other specific meta tags at the moment.

While they are possible future additions, we have not yet had any other user interest expressed and they are considered low priority at this stage.

It is unlikely we would want to have a separate file per meta tag. There can be alot of meta tags to index, and alot of ZDAT files for people to manage.

Having the ability to restrict searches to title or meta information would be quite useful if you ever decide to add this feature.

When people look for a library book, it's the title and author information they need first, although you have already made this easier to achieve with your DESC file feature.
