  • Is it possible to do this with a database

    Is it possible for this program to be able to index a database + pdf's by pulling additional information that is in the database for that particular pdf so that I may be able to display the link and word's such additional information as author, or # of pages, or anything else. I would appreciate it.

    Any comments or code that you have used to maximize your search engine to utilize a database search with a key that uses zoom search engine.

    Zoom can extract author information from the PDF document (with "Use meta information plugin when available" selected on the "Scan options" tab). This will also extract any keywords or titles stored within the Summary Information window of Acrobat.

    You can specify additional keywords, or a replacement title or description or author via the use of .desc files. More information here:

    Regarding indexing a database, Zoom can only index content from a database that is made available via dynamic web pages, eg. a PHP file which extracts the data from a DB and present it as a web page. See this FAQ for details:
