  • <do-not-index> Tags ?

    Hello,

Got Zoom Search yesterday, and I am already up and running.
Great tool and documentation (seems you thought of almost everything).

One thing I could not find is the possibility of marking some arbitrary text on a page as do-not-index.

On my site i list the public holidays of all the countries of the world. But at the top of each page, I list the neighboring countries, with a link to that page. For example, at the top of my page for China, I have:

Neighboring and related countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Vietnam.
This means that when I search for China public holidays, the top results I get are from the list of countries above rather than China.

What I am looking for is some kind of tag, so that I could write:

    HTML Code:
<do-not-index>Neighboring and related countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Vietnam.</do-not-index>
Is there such a beast ?

    Very best regards,

    Olivier

    See this FAQ
    Q. How do I prevent parts of my webpage from being indexed (eg. exclude navigation menus, or page footers)?
