    Referring URL?

Is it possible to determine the referring URL to A.html? In this case, we want to remove A.html from the website/search results, but don't know where the indexer found the referring URL to A.html.

Broken link found on page: http://www.example.com/A.html
(Broken link URL is: http://www.example.com/B.html )

I am not sure I understand the question, as you seem to have answered it yourself. In your example B.html is the referring page.

B.html is on A.html as reported by the indexer. Where did the indexer found A.html?

B.html is the broken link on A.html and not the referring page. Where did the indexer found A.html?

Opps, yes. A.html is the referring page for B.html. And B is the broken link.
If you want to trace it back multiple levels then you need to dump out the full log from the indexer.
All the pages and all the links that the indexer found are in the log.
