Although my website is non profit I will need to buy the pro edition as I have reached my limit on the free one. Is the pro unlimited and also will I lose my setttings if I buy it.

The Professional edition of Zoom Search V7 will allow you to index up to 50,000 pages. You can see a comprehensive list of differences between editions on the following page, http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/editions.html
Upon purchasing a license for Professional edition, you will receive an email with your license key. You can then enter the license key via the "Help->Enter License Key" menu. This will now unlock the features of the Professional edition. All your settings should remain. However, now will be able to adjust the limits under "Configure->Limits" to suit your needs.
