What is it that you want to appear in the drop down list?
If you want it to look like the duckduckgo site, then the best & easiest thing would be to copy the styling from their page (CSS & Javascript). Even though is looks simple enough I am betting there is a fair amount of Javascript code and CSS styling that has gone into it.
