    PDFs stored in a database

Will pdfs that are stored in a database be indexed if a link is provided to the pdf? The pdfs are written to an aspx page using Response.ContentType = "application/PDF".

Yes, you can index PDF files.

See also these pages for more details,

One of my sites has a lot of PDF files, but they use images rather than actual text. Can anyone recommend good optical character recognition to translate the documents?

Adobe Acrobat can do this & you might already have the software if you are creating PDF files.

But there is lots of others as well.
