Files on different server

Been using zoom for years and like it..
However we have an new site running on Adobe's Business Catalyst platform running asp.net. Their built in search is useless. However because it's kinda like software as a service you have no access to configure their server and you cannot upload .aspx files!! I was thinking I could just run the search on a PHP server and then serve it up on the asp.net site.
Perhaps mirror the relevant files on a php site and server them up on the main site.
Any comments, suggestions?

If you have a separate server that can run PHP, then it is possible to run the search on the 2nd server and search the 1st site.

If you can index the Adobe site, then there should be no need to mirror the source files.
