  • error whilst searching

    Hi all,
Since coming into work today, we seems to have an error message on the search.asp script.
The error we are getting is:
    Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'

    Subscript out of range: '3166'

    /search/search.asp, line 1983

    Has anyone else experienced this?
    I am baffled.
    can anyone help?

It is most likely caused by corruption of the index files.

You can get corruption by only uploading half of the files, having low level disk corruption issues, or it being a software bug.

First step is to upgrade to the latest patch release of Zoom and then re-index your site, and upload all the new index files.

      Thank you.

I have the indexing results sitting in a master folder and the index files are then copied over every 30minutes to the live and development drive location so we can test when we are developing and also on live.

Would Spidering the site have the same problem with the index files?

I am wondering whether to have the copy of files do it every 1 hour instead of 30mins.

Maybe you aren't copying over all the files?
Maybe a file was held open while you did the copy and the copy failed?

Might make more sense to setup the indexer to directly write the files to the live server, then make a copy of the files back to the development server. Then if the copy fails the consequences aren't that bad.

          Hi there,
Coming back to work today I get the error:

          Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'

          Subscript out of range: '3189'

          /search/search.asp, line 1983

          when I run any search.
I have re-ran the search index and this does not seem to have resolved the issue.
          Any ideas?

What version of Zoom are you using?
Are your sure you copied across all the files. Especially the setting.asp file.

If you still have a problem, Zip up all the search files and E-Mail them to us.
