Unrecognized character \\x7F

search.cgi was working till my last upload via the program itself. Now i get the error: Unrecognized character \\x7F (which means internal server error via browser)

cgi.cgi says ok. Permissions are ok.
any ideas?

my bad. hit the unix mode instead of linux.

For others reading this.
This "Unrecognized character" message is often the result of Perl being used to attempt to run a binary CGI.
