  • Search engine for website

I have the following requirements for a new clients website
    Product requirements
    • Meta data will need to be generated automatically, but there will also need to be some

scope for the editor to customise it.
    • Ability to filter documents based on topic or resource (see www.bbc.co.uk search for

    example).
    • Ability to filter results based on content type – PDF, video, web page

    • Common spelling mistakes will be detected and the correct search term suggested.
    • Ability to control relevance of search results
    • Editor to have the ability to exclude content from appearing in search results

    • Ajax functionality – When users stats to type letters – like Google.

Please advise if Zoom search can fulfill these requirements.

The first meta data requirement appears to be a requirement for the construction of the web site, not the search function.

You can place documents in categories and filter results by categories.

    Zoom has spelling suggestions.

    You can control the relevance.

You can skip files, or parts of files.

Ajax auto-suggest is available in V7 of Zoom.
