  • Problems with internal webname

    Hello,
up to now I used the IP Adress of the intranet server to index the pages.
(Like http://10.0.0.5 and also the same base adress)
    This worked.

Now I moved the intranet from 1 server to this new server and changed the name from the ip adress to an the regularURL like http://intranet

    This worked this morning!

Now I have a problem to get it running again.
IP address works, Name does not.
Error: No files found to spider from http://intranet/
I also tried to use http://intranet/index.asp no chance.

DNS, nslookup, entry on my PC in the host table etc is done.

Then I even installed the Zoom SE on the server, because I thougt about firewalls etc. ... same effect. Only IP address works.

I have to login with username and passwort!
After logging in I can do everything in the browser.
On the webserver I do not find any problems relating firewall, virus scanner etc

    Any idea ?

    Thanks

Will be hard for us to debug as we don't have access to your Intranet. So we can only guess at the problem.

If it did work, and now it doesn't, and you changed nothing in Zoom, then something must have changed on your server or network.

If this is an intranet without WWW access, can you temporarily remove the requirement for a password and see how that goes. Are you using the authentication options in Zoom?

Can you post or E-mail us the Zoom log file.

What happens if you ping the host name? Can you do a wget on the page in question using the host name?
