Moodle 2.1 prevent indexing of navigation

I have searched and can't find an answer to this.
I am running Moodle 2.1 and want to exclude the navigation parts of the site in searches.
As Moodle is dynamically created, I'm not sure where to place the ZOOMSTOP/Start codes.
Anyone any ideas.

Q. How do I prevent parts of my webpage from being indexed (eg. exclude navigation menus, or page footers)?

But it will vary from site to site where exactly in the code to place them. (I am not a Moodle expert)
