PDF Searches

I am looking into getting this software for a project I am working on.

I need to be able to search through multiple PDF files and the results need to link to the pages within the PDF files where the results are located as the PDFs will be made up of 100's of pages.

For example if a search query finds a result on page 12 of a PDF I would like the user to be able to open the PDF on page 12, as opposed to just being given a link to the PDF file.

Is this possible with this software? (Or even possible to do)?

Zoom can search search PDF files. But when you click on a result link you get taken to the top of the PDF file.

There is an option in Zoom to get Adobe reader to auto search for the same word upon the opening of the document, and this might go a long way to solving your requirement, but it isn't exactly what you asked for.

The behaviour can also vary depending on the program used view PDF files (old versions of Adobe reader don't support this, and some 3rd party viewer might not either).
