  • <!--ZOOMRESTART--> at the end of a page

    Is it needed?

We have a few navigation links at the bottom of each topic page (.htm files) that are excluded from search with <!--ZOOMSTOP--> tags, and I just automatically added the <!--ZOOMRESTART--> tags to close them out.

However, RoboHelp is somehow replicating that closing <!--ZOOMRESTART--> tag, over and over as the topics are opened for editing. (Some topics have up to 24 of them, each instance separated by an increasing number of line breaks.)

So, can I safely remove those closing <!--ZOOMRESTART--> tags?

The tags need to be in pairs.

So no, you can't remove them.

Maybe you can move the tag up a few lines from the end of the file, avoiding the RoboHelp bug.

No, it already is, in many topics (JavaScript for popup links, as well as the </BODY> and </HTML> tags).

      Thx

If RoboHelp is screwing up the HTML code, then it might be time to contact the developer, Abobe. There's little we can do about this unfortunately.
