Zoom Search alphabetizes based on Category and not Page Title?

I've noticed that when a search is performed that includes results from multiple categories, it will list results in alphabetical order for each category. Is there a way to alter this behavior and have it alphabetize based on the page title regardless of which category it's from?

Essentially I would prefer search results to be shown with page title taking precedence over category.

There is no sorting alphabetically by category name. If the results happens to be in alphabetic order, then this is just co-incidence.

Sorting of results is either done by date or relevance.

Let me rephrase my situation ..

Say for instance I have a set of results from category 'Category 1'

It will list results starting with A, then B, and so on.
After all results from Category 1 and displayed it will start displaying category 2

Then 'Category 2'

A, B, C, and so on.

What I am looking for is to have the results from all categories mixed together alphabetically.

If the search engine defaults to this behavior it seems pointless to have the 'Refine by Category' option because the search engine has already sorted the results based on category.

No it won't.
Again, there is no sorting alphabetically. Nor by category for that matter.

Maybe you can post a link to show what you are referring to.
